As whispers of closure swirled in the wake of The Beatles LOVE announcement at The Mirage, Cirque du Soleil has made it clear that KÀ’s spark is not dying down. With its record-breaking year in 2023 and a portfolio of successful shows across Las Vegas, the company has leased the death-defying production a new life, well into 2026.
Over the years, the high-stakes spectacle inspired by the ancient Egyptian concept of ka (an invisible spiritual duplicate), has proven its mettle and will only double down on the grandeur. “KÀ' remains one of the most moving and spectacular live productions in the world," a Cirque du Soleil spokesperson stated, emphasizing the excitement for the show's upcoming 20th anniversary in February 2025. With dates added until November 2026, fans can continue to be delighted by the world of KÀ - where the sky is merely a starting point.
For nearly two decades, KÀ has been turning the Las Vegas Strip on its head, both with the specially designed turn-table stage and the mind-boggling stunts curated by the team of acrobats. The cast seems to have made a pact to disprove the laws of physics, with an entire section dedicated to a vertically fought battle scene that would perplex the likes of Einstein.
Here, love stories unfold while dangling from silks and a forest comes alive with luminous creatures on bungees. The acts transcend the boundaries of the physical world, featuring a variety of expert martial arts including Wushu and Brazilian Capoeira, a lively flamenco dance and flute duets. This isn't your grandma's circus (unless your grandma is a secret ninja, in which case, respect) - so whether you're a long-time fan or a Cirque du Soleil virgin, KÀ promises to ignite your imagination for yet another 2 years.
Starting June 29, you can catch Cirque du Soleil's KÀ at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on weekends. That's right, day drinking and death-defying acrobatics - the perfect Vegas combo!
